Small column vase

Size 12 x 6cm

A vase reduced to its simplest form: a straight-sided cylinder, open at the top, standing plainly on its base. No swell, no foot, no neck, just clean vertical lines and the surface of the clay itself.

Thrown by hand and trimmed true, so the walls are even and the rim sits level. The restraint of the shape puts all the attention on what it holds: a single branch, a loose bunch of garden stems, or a handful of dried grasses that need nothing more than a quiet vessel to stand in.

It works as a pair, as a row along a shelf, or on its own where you want a piece that doesn't compete with the room. Simple enough to use every day, considered enough to keep.

Each vase is individually made; slight variations in height, glaze and surface are part of the hand-thrown finish. Handmade in small batches.
